Position Summary:

The Instructional Designer II is responsible for a full range of learning and development activities for web-based and instructor-led training and learning programs. Conducts needs assessments, designs and develops curriculums/instructional plans, evaluates training programs for effectiveness, and provides consultation for a broad array of learning and development issues. Advises on appropriate instructional technologies, including e-learning/web-based formats. Leads teams that include clients and subject matter experts to complete instructional design projects.

Job Functions:

1. Designs and develops highly complex course curricula and related content and materials
2. Oversees development of curricula or programs by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in support of an assigned functional area, consulting often with SME's
3. Conducts complex needs assessments and provides on-going analysis of learning programs across a broad spectrum of positions
4. Develops and conducts individual and group training workshops. Utilizes eLearning tools to develop web-based training. Advise online faculty on appropriate instructional technologies, including online learning/web-based formats
5. Evaluates training programs or curricula for effectiveness and desired outcomes. Utilizes feedback to initiate changes, refinements and improvements
6. Serves as primary LSC-Online representative/point-of-contact for LSC-Academy for Life Long Learning online instructors community providing online, phone, email, and desk-side support. Troubleshoots and resolves Tier I and II level technical issues
7. Consults with leaders of major constituency groups within the organization to assess, trend, and analyze learning needs of employees across the region based on current and future strategic plans
8. Develops strategic plans for development of training curricula, professional development, and technical programs
9. Responsible for leadership of a variety of learning/instructional design projects
10. Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned

Salary: Hiring salary range is $56,370-$64,826

Required: Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
